Pray a lot, love people, make disciples, watch it go.

You probably know by now that we feel God calling us to stay (read more). We started a group in our home before we unpacked all the boxes. Last week, Janet and I started meeting with another couple in their home. Two months, two groups. God is good.

Networking

We’ve met twice with a network of church leaders. Several budding friendships, I am helping a couple of guys with strategy, and will teach at a conference in August. I visited another network of church planters. The latter group is harder to break into, so I’m just trying to add value.

Partners

The SBTC, ABA, and Hays Hills Church will help us financially through the end of this year. The goal is to have five groups meeting by Christmas, and then review possible funds for 2010. We are grateful for their support. (We have a bank account now for those of you who have been asking–thank you, thank you, thank you!)

We’re in New Orleans Monday, meeting with students. We’ll miss Nola friends, food, street music, festivals, the amazing French Quarter…

I anticipate a contract to teach church planting workshops at NOBTS, but have not seen the details. Waiting to hear if NAMB will continue our health insurance and their typical church planter stipend. Hope so.

Pray for us if you think of it.
